Frequently asked questions
How do I enable sync?
Sync requires Haven Pro. Go to Settings → Sync, subscribe to Haven Pro, then enter your sync server URL. Haven never operates sync servers — you bring your own.
What servers work with Haven?
Any WebDAV-compatible server works. Many users run a simple self-hosted server on a Raspberry Pi, VPS, or NAS.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. With Haven Pro, your notes are encrypted with AES-256 on your device before being sent to your sync server. Nobody but you can read them.
Can I export my notes?
Yes. Go to Settings → Export to download all your notes as markdown files.
Does Haven work offline?
Haven is offline-first. The app works entirely without an internet connection. Sync (with Pro) runs in the background when you're online.
